Welcome To Worship

Visiting a new church can feel daunting when you're uncertain about what to anticipate. When you step through the doors of Castle Rock First United Methodist Church, you'll find a warm welcome from a diverse community of believers. We come together to sing, pray, and worship as one. We invite you to join us in worship. All are welcome to join us.

Worship Times

Will vary given the time of year. The times will be listed on the welcome page.

What to Expect

Both services provide unique experiences.

The Traditional Worship is rooted in the United Methodist Worship Tradition.

The Modern Worship is a mix of modern music and other elements of worship.

We also have various special services throughout the year like Blue Christmas service, Good Friday, Maundy Thursday, and more.

We invite you to come and see and come as you are. There are no requirements to attend worship experiences.

A New Chapter for Castle Rock First UMC

Beginning Sunday, September 7, 2025, Castle Rock First United Methodist Church will move to one unified worship service at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday.

For many years, we have worshiped in two separate services. While each service has been meaningful in its own way, we’ve also experienced the power of being together during special gatherings like our 150th Celebration Worship and Time and Talent Sunday. Again and again, the Spirit has reminded us that something sacred happens when the whole church family gathers as one.

This change is not about loss—it is about grafting together. Just as Jesus said in John 15, “I am the vine; you are the branches,” we believe that by uniting our gifts, traditions, and voices, God will create something richer, stronger, and more faithful. Like the early church in Acts 2, we are trusting the Spirit to shape us into a new creation.

What to Expect

  • Worship at 9:00 a.m. – A Spirit-filled service that blends the best of our musical traditions and worship leadership.

  • Community Faith Time – Following worship, we’ll gather with coffee and donuts and then move into spaces for children, youth, and adults to learn and grow together.

  • Seasons and Holy Days – Outdoor Chapel will continue in the summer months, and Christmas and Easter will still include multiple worship opportunities.

What About Christmas and Easter?

We will continue to offer three separate worship opportunities during these high holy days.

What About Summer?

Summer worship will continue like it always has from Memorial day-Labor Day at 8:30 a.m. Outdoor Chapel and 10:00 a.m. Modern Service.

What About Music?

No one is going anywhere! We will weave together the musical styles of both services—just like we did at the 150th Celebration—to create a meaningful, inclusive, and dynamic worship experience.

Why This Matters

This is not a sign of scarcity—it’s a sign of faithfulness. We are moving from parallel paths to a shared journey. From multiple voices to a unified song. From “either/or” to “both/and.” Together, we will reimagine what worship can be when all of God’s people gather in one space, at one time, around one table.

Community Faith Time

Community Faith Time is the space after worship where we gather over coffee and donuts, and then move into various groups for connection, learning, and growing together in faith.
