Our Worship
Our Worship Services Program for October 2nd, 2022
The 17th Sunday After Pentecost
Liturgical Color: White
World Communion Sunday
At First United Methodist Church Castle Rock we are touching people and changing lives through the love of Jesus Christ.
Quote of The Week: On this World Communion Sunday, may we have eyes to recognize God’s reflection in the eyes of those seated by us and in those beyond these walls. May we celebrate our differences and with a big heart love others. We give thanks that a table has been set with space enough for us all.

Call to Worship
Pastor Sarah: God declared to the prophet Habakkuk “there is still a vision for the appointed time” (Habakkuk 2:3, NRSV). Today we gather in this time and place to praise God, celebrate Holy Communion with Christians around the world and receive a special offering for young leaders.
Pastor Matt: We come today trusting in God. We come today delighting in God. We come today committing to the way of God.
All: We come today ready to worship in the fullness of God’s community. We come today ready to build up peace, justice, and righteousness.

The Unison Prayer
All: God of all nations, we give you thanks that we are all made in your image with such rich diversity. On this day, we are in solidarity with the faithful around the world. As we break bread together, we remember that we are still one body in you, even though we are different in solidarity, together we drink the cup of hope, of new life, knowing that your will is for Your people to be one body... We thank you and praise you for making us all who we are, individually and collectively, and we pray to you now as you taught us:
